On April 23rd, 2020 the Housing\u00a0Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA)\u00a0Board of Commissioners\u00a0(BOC)\u00a0met and\u00a0approved Stage 1\u00a0of the ENA Redevelopment Plan for\u00a0One San Pedro.\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The first stage focused on creating a community-based development concept and implementing a robust resident and community engagement program.\u00a0This action allows the development team to continue working on its redevelopment efforts with HACLA and start Stage 2.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0primary focus of\u00a0Stage\u00a02 will be on\u00a0the entitlement and environmental review process, including\u00a0drafting a specific plan that\u00a0will provide the\u00a0regulatory framework\u00a0to\u00a0redevelop\u00a0within the 23-acre\u00a0public housing\u00a0site. This framework\u00a0will be\u00a0added as\u00a0an amendment to the San Pedro Community Plan\u00a0and will require\u00a0additional engagement with\u00a0local agencies,\u00a0City departments,\u00a0and the community\u00a0at\u00a0large to\u00a0coordinate public and private investment in infrastructure, transportation, and recreational facilities.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n
